O give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; for His mercy and loving-kindness endure forever! – I Chronicles 16:34(AMP) | Praise the Lord! (Hallelujah!) O give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; for His mercy and loving-kindness endure forever! – Psalms 106:1(AMP) Year 2014 is gradually coming to an end. Today being the last Sunday of the year, we need to recount all the good things God has done. Let us cast our minds back to the first Sunday of the year and all you tabled out before God. Has God been faithful? Can you look back and assure yourself that in all, God has been good? Perhaps you lost a loved one or something precious to you, or you haven’t even had all your requests answered; but if you’re truthful to yourself, God has been so faithful despite what life brought our way. Don’t dwell on the ‘what-ifs’ or ‘what-nots’. Rather, dwell on the goodness of God over your life, family and loved ones. Let’s do the following exercise: Thank Him for the gift of life and longevity: for keeping you alive to see today, for His loving kindness and tender mercies. Thank Him for the gift of salvation and deliverance: for sending His son Jesus to die and save us from sin, and give us eternal life. Thank Him for favour and mercy: before men and before God. You got several things you normally don’t deserve this year. Thank Him for divine health and healing: in your body and soul, and over your loved ones. There was restoration in it all. Thank Him for prosperity and abundance: in your finances, in your home, in your workplace, in your business and in every area you can think of. Thank Him for victory. Several battles were fought without your knowledge, yet you came out victorious. Even those you knew of, you came out victorious as well. Thank Him for divine protection: in your coming in and going out, when you traveled and came back, God was faithful. Even when you had accidents that should otherwise have claimed your life, you were divinely protected. Thank Him for more specific things you encountered this year. As we end this year, may God grant all our heart desires according to His will in Jesus name, amen! May we all have more than enough cause to keep giving thanks all the days of our lives, amen! See you in 2015!!! O give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; for His mercy and loving-kindness endure forever! – I Chronicles 16:34(AMP) |
