God has a special destiny in mind for each of your children. So also does Satan because he knows their potentials and he is out to stop God’s plan for them. If Satan can’t get you, he will try to get to your children so don’t be careless. If there is any child that there’s so much drama around, mark that child, he/she is a star. He/she may get into trouble often, mix with wrong gangs, be involved in alcohol or drug abuse, sex, have problems with academics, be indifferent or lazy, gets involved in accidents often, constantly makes bad choices etc. Don’t despair, all these may be signs of the enemy’s target. That’s the time to get up and teach, correct, rebuke, watch, love and stand by him/her. PRAY and SPEAK GOD’S WORD over him/her. Feed them with the truth of God’s word. Never give up (Isa.62:6-7). Satan was determined to have Peter but Jesus knowing the role he will play in the spread of the gospel prayed for him (Luke 22:31-32). Moses would have been killed and his destiny as deliverer of God’s people truncated if not for his mother (Exo.2:1-10). Esther would not have fulfilled destiny if not for her God fearing foster father, prayerful mentor and Uncle, Mordecai. Your child may have been born into or be in not so ideal circumstances today, God knows what to do. Remember Jephthah who despite being the son of a harlot judged Israel (Judges 11, 12). When he/she seems lost and far from God, remember Saul of Tarsus who persecuted Christians but eventually became God’s voice to the gentiles.
When you understand the destiny God has for your child then you won’t give up but fight for your STAR. Work on what he/she is right now so he can be who God knows he/she will become in the future.
Like King Lemuel’s mother, do your part and watch God do His.
