As a believer, God has given you everything necessary to live life to the fullest because of His power in you. This makes it possible for you to obey God's word and translate the God-life in you into everyday living. You can achieve this through developing a consistent personal relationship with God.
28 And God blessed them [granting them certain authority] and said to them, “Be fruitful, multiply, and fill the earth, and subjugate it [putting it under your power]; and rule over (dominate) the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, and every living thing that moves upon the earth.” - Genesis 1:28(AMP)
One of God's blessing and command is for you to be fruitful. He said this at the very beginning. Unfortunately, sin came into the world causing an hindrance to mankind fulfilling this role. God hates fruitlessness! In fact, He punishes fruitlessness. However, the good news is that in Christ Jesus, you have all it takes to be fruitful in every area of your life. God wants you to be fruitful.
5 For this very reason, applying your diligence [to the divine promises, make every effort] in [exercising] your faith to, develop moral excellence, and in moral excellence, knowledge (insight, understanding),
6 and in your knowledge, self-control, and in your self-control, steadfastness, and in your steadfastness, godliness,
7 and in your godliness, brotherly affection, and in your brotherly affection, [develop Christian] love [that is, learn to unselfishly seek the best for others and to do things for their benefit].
8 For as these qualities are yours and are increasing [in you as you grow toward spiritual maturity], they will keep you from being useless and unproductive in regard to the true knowledge and greater understanding of our Lord Jesus Christ. - 2 Peter 1:5-8(AMP)
From the above, you can clearly see the various things you need to develop in order to be fruitful. These qualities are in you already. All you need to do is exercise them. Take time to read, study and meditate on these things. Apply them to every aspect of your life and see those areas become fruitful. Never forget that the ability to exercise these things comes from the power of God in you. This means that in all you do, your personal relationship with God must be upheld because that is where your source for fruitfulness comes from. You can be fruitful. Go forth and bear fruit!
Have a blessed week!
